I chose to come to Belhaven University because… First, my whole family had gone to Belhaven before me....my dad, aunts, uncles, cousins. Second, I had gone to a small Christian high school and did not want to go to a huge university, so the intimate atmosphere at Belhaven appealed to me. Third, I knew that I wanted to go into nursing and Belhaven has a good Biology department. The relationship at Belhaven that has meant the most to me is… Dr. Brucie Williford, who I worked for in the psychology department the whole time I was at Belhaven. Although I was not a Psychology major, she was an advisor and mentor to me in so many ways, both academic and personal. One of the things I love the most about Belhaven is how much the professors care about the personal lives of the students. Because of my degree from Belhaven University… I am about to graduate from nursing school at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and planning to get a job in pediatric nursing in May.
