Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Mathematics Program

I chose to come to Belhaven because…they offered a variety of financial aid and the campus was very appealing. The warm Southern weather helped too!

One relationship that meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…was my relationship with Mrs. Smith. In addition to teaching the mathematics course that inspired me to pursue post graduate work, she became a mentor to me. She was always anxious to hear how my graduate courses were going after I left Belhaven. When I returned to Belhaven as a mathematics instructor, I continued to look to her for an example of living a Christian Worldview in and out of the workplace.

 Because of my degree from Belhaven University…I was prepared not only for academic success in rigorous graduate level mathematics courses, but I was also prepared to continue my education at a secular university while maintaining a Christian worldview in my studies, and now in my job as Operations Research Analyst for a large banking corporation.

One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Sanctifying.
