Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Political Science Program

I chose to come to Belhaven University because… it is a small, close-knit college community where each professor gives individual attention and concern to not only academic aspects –but also personal aspects of a student's life.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University is … with Dr. Phillips, my academic advisor. From the first phone call before pre-registration the summer before my Freshman year, to the meetings regarding my further education and career paths, he has always been available.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University…  I was accepted at all the law schools I applied for (with scholarship offers), and I will start law school in the same year I graduate from Belhaven. If I had chosen a path other than further education, I know my degree would prove useful in getting a job in my field.

One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Enjoyable.
