Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Social Services Program

I chose to come to Belhaven University because…I wanted to go to a small Christian school where the teachers would know me by name, and Belhaven is such a big part of my life that I just didn't even think to go anywhere else—my dad is a professor here and my sister also attended.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…is the one I have with Jo Beth Petty, Director of Student Leadership here at Belhaven. She has been so encouraging to me and has helped me make hard decisions about not only classes but my own personal life as well. She is my mentor, and I could not have made it as well without her help.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University…I know so much more about helping people, and I can really use what I know to help children in any type of situation.

One Word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Excellent.
