Sports Ministry Major

The Bachelor of Arts in Sports Ministry at Belhaven University, formerly Belhaven College, trains and prepares individuals to use sports as an effective ministry tool. Upon completion of this accredited degree program, graduates will be well equipped to find employment in a variety of sports and recreational settings, such as a church recreation director or full-time sports evangelist with an organization like Fellowship of Christian Athletes or Athletes in Action. The Sports Ministry major is also useful to those planning to pursue graduate studies in seminary.

Belhaven’s program is designed to give participants a broad preparation in sports ministry, with all classes founded on the biblical worldview. The sports ministry program maintains working relationships with numerous Jackson area sports and athletic ministry programs where students can become involved, intern, or assist throughout their time in the Sports Ministry program.
