One-on-One Career Planning
Belhaven's Career Services offers career programs focused on planning for your future. We encourage students to stop by, call, or schedule an appointment to meet one-on-one for career planning. In this meeting, we will assist you in discovering your God-given gifts and desires, how that fits into career and job options, and help you create a plan to prepare for life after Belhaven.
Career Services partners various departments on campus to offer career related workshops. These workshops include but are not limited to: Resume Workshop, Graduate School Workshop, Communication Media Conference, and Career Bootcamp.

This event is for traditional students of any major. Registration is due TBA which includes:
1) Acceptable résumé uploaded to College Central Network and,
2) Registration form. Space is limited and preference will be given to seniors, then juniors and so on.

The Graduate and Professional Fair in the fall is the perfect opportunity to learn about graduate school options. Talk to admission personnel about requirements and scholarships. Learn more about graduate placement tests from the inside out. Recruiters, please register online if you would like to attend this event.

Each Spring semester, employers come to campus to share about job opportunities. A college career fair is a great place to network with possible future employers. It is also a good place to practice sharing about yourself in a professional setting.

Belhaven students can interview for permanent and internship positions. Stop by Career Services in Cleland Hall or make an appointment for a résumé review. Job interviews will be held between 2:30 - 4:00 pm following the Career Fair. Freshman and Sophomores, this is for you too. Not sure about the major you've chosen or are still undecided, visit the majors booths for information regarding every area of study.
Governor's Job Fair
Master the art of the interview. Interviewing well really is a learned skill. The more often you practice, the more refined interviewee you can become. Look up common interview questions and know how to go about answering those in the best way. Research the companies that interest you and brainstorm alternative, specific questions they may ask. Practice with us. Set up an appointment for a mock interview.
