Did you know with 100 people in your church on Sunday morning, 26 of them will suffer from a mental illness this year?
Mental health and wellness. Important. Hard to talk about.
There is hope.
We’re bringing together pastors, health ministry leaders, nurses and other health workers, Christian and community mental health leaders and others to explore ways to work together for advocacy, prevention, support, training, as well as professional counseling.
We will focus on:
- Reducing the stigma
- Creating stronger collaborative relationships
- Building a sustainable plan for the future
The conference program is being developed now.
One of our keynote speakers will be Dr. Sidney Hankerson, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, College of Surgeons and Physicians and a nationally known researcher on churches and mental health.
Senior Advisory Group:
- Dr. Roger Parrott, Chair
