Speaker: Dean Emma Morris

Emma Morris is the Dean of Faculty at Belhaven University Atlanta, where she leads her faculty with high expectations for teaching but also grace for students. She stands as an example of leading with a biblical worldview both in the classroom and out.

Emma began her corporate experience as a systems engineer and salesperson at IBM. After leaving IBM, she co-founded her first technology company and later, at Ernst & Whinney she established a national supply chain practice around that company’s product. From there Emma served as VP of marketing, VP of Latin America, VP of Logistics and VP Strategy and M&A at MSA, a public software company. After the sale of MSA, Emma felt called to the mission field. While waiting for an assignment, she served as a consultant and ultimately realized the technology community was her mission field. While running her consulting firm, she also served as founding CEO of three technology startup companies. Emma has been named by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the most influential technology executives in the city.

As a consultant and executive coach, Emma worked with organizations to extract their greatest potential from products, partners and people during times of transition such as start-up, rapid growth, mergers or restructuring.  She provides leadership as a strategist, facilitator and executive advisor.

Emma’s client list includes companies on the latest 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies list and Atlanta’s 50 to Watch, as well as companies in the Fortune 500. Her success comes from years of experience in a variety of large and small corporations, along with a fierce determination to achieve results and a passion for business as mission.  Most recently, Emma has facilitated a Christian CEO roundtable where she helps other Christian CEOs live out their business as mission objectives.

After completing the turnaround of a Christian college in 2009, Emma has been called upon to help other Christian colleges. She has also experienced the world of higher education as a business professor at Belhaven University, Point University, Tennessee Temple and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Emma continues to be a sought-after speaker, teacher, and leader in higher education, technology and business as mission.
