The Belhaven University (formerly Belhaven College) Dance department's national accreditation, experienced faculty, biblical worldview, and beautiful facilities set it apart from other college dance programs. The Belhaven University dance program provides a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in dance. These tracks enable students to develop their God-given talents and understand dance from a biblical perspective. Program majors receive a broad liberal arts and dance education to prepare themselves for graduate school, modalities for dance ministry, and careers in dance performance, dance education, and other dance related fields.
The application process for acceptance into Belhaven University and the dance department are two separate items. All prospective students must audition for the dance program and submit items for acceptance prior to auditions. The dance department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) and Belhaven graduates have gone on to teach, join dance and repertory theatres across the country, and start their own companies and studios.
