The Choral Arts are alive at Belhaven College! We are
seeking a choral experience at Belhaven College that is unparalleled in its
artistic excellence, uncompromising in its Christian ideals, and unsurpassed in
rich relationships. Scholarships are available at all levels of choral
participation as well as for solo performance. Audition early for best
chances at scholarships.
If you have never participated in a choir before, you are one of the people we most want to audition. Our Concert Choir is designed to open the door for beginners to the joy of choral music making. We believe the God has endowed ordinary people with the gift of singing as a normal part of being human. Don't worry, there are very talented Section Leaders that will encourage and lead you as you "learn the ropes" of choral singing. The audition is brief and is painless. Don't count yourself out without even trying. We want you to have a life changing experience in the Concert Choir.
Belhaven students perform regularly with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
For more advanced singers, We offer the Belhaven Chorale. This group forms the backbone of the Concert Choir and provides qualified
performers unique opportunities befitting their advanced skills. The Belhaven
Chorale is made up of 16-24 voices. Participants are the Section Leaders of the
Concert Choir. Repertoire is extremely varied. This group will represent
Belhaven College in schools, churches, and other special gatherings.
