Fact: I believe that lemons are one of God’s greatest creations. You can do anything with them! I like to eat them, put them in water and tea, make lemonade, lighten scars, and you can even use them as deodorant. Yes, lemons are awesome!
I chose to come to Belhaven University because... the Music Department is wonderful! I felt more at home here than any other place I had visited. All of the students and faculty are a continuous support system, pushing me to hone and improve my gifts for the glory of God. I could not imagine performing and practicing in any other facility than the Center for the Arts; it is so beautiful. Since I knew God was calling me to pursue music, it was apparent that Belhaven was the place where I should be.
One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University is...that of one of my best friends, Brooke, who is also a music major. We believe we are twins because of our similar interest and thoughts. She truly is a kindred spirit and we are like iron sharpening iron when it comes to God, the Bible, music, and pretty much anything else. She has been an encouragement to me in her attitude and actions, and will forever be my crazy Theory buddy.
Because of my degree from Belhaven University... I believe I will be able to get any music job out there, not just because of my degree but also from the experiences I’ve had. I will be trained to sing many different genres, have experience teaching, be familiar with worship music, operate recording equipment, and many more things. I intend to be comfortable in almost any field of music by the time I leave Belhaven.
