Belhaven Presents “An Evening with C.S. Lewis”February 1, 2018 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven University will host “An Evening with C.S. Lewis” on February 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. Step back to 1963 as Lewis, portrayed by British actor David Payne, invites the audience into his home for a chat.

Seated in his living room and in front of a warm fire, he recalls the people and events that inspired his thought and shaped his life; of his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien; why he nearly abandoned the Chronicles of Narnia; how he came to embrace Christianity and of the American woman who turned his life upside down.

Based on his life and writings, this heartwarming, funny and inspiring evening will bring the audience closer to the man whose intellect and interests spanned from writing the children’s classic, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to the landmark text Mere Christianity.
