Belhaven Students Awarded at State NATS
March 16, 2011: Three Belhaven University vocalists earned high marks at the 2011 National Association of the Teachers of Singing State Competition held at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS on February 25th and 26th.
Freshman, Rachel Gorman, earned 2nd place and Alyssa Aycock, placed 3rd in the Musical Theatre Category in a competition against college freshmen and sophomores, both men and women. Sophomore, John Mathieu placed 3rd in the classical category. Additionally, these dedicated singers participated in the competition and performed in Belhavens Musical Theater production of A Light in the Piazza all in the same weekend. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding achievements!
