Blazers Softball and Tennis Compete in National Tournament

May 14, 2013 (Clinton) - Belhaven Softball and Men’s Tennis will begin NAIA National Tournament play this week.

Blazers Softball will host the opening round of the National Tournament at Arrow Field in Clinton, Miss. This is the third year out of the last four in which Belhaven Softball has advanced to the National Tournament. Belhaven will host a four-team, double-elimination tournament including Reindhart University (GA), LSU-Alexandria, and William Woods University (MO). Belhaven's first opponent is William Woods. The softball tournament information includes game times, ticket prices and will follow the Blazers via live stats and audio broadcasts.

Belhaven Men's Tennis returns to the NAIA National Tournament for the second consecutive year and begins bracket play in Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday, May 14 at 9:00 a.m. This on the 30th anniversary of our 1983 Men's Tennis National Championship and will take on Spring Arbor University (MI). The winner of Tuesday's match will earn a spot into the final 16 and face Xavier University (LA) on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Follow the men's tennis action on the Blazers’ Athletics website as well as at the NAIA National Tournament page.
