September 2, 2014 (Jackson) - For the first time at Belhaven, talented faculty from the Visual Arts Department will be displaying their artwork for the public. The Belhaven Faculty Art Exhibition will begin with an opening reception on September 4, 5:00 p.m. in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts Gallery and run through October 13.

This special exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography and prints from visual art faculty members Bob Pennebaker, Nate Theisen, Gretchen Haien and David West.

Bob Pennebaker, Chair of the Visual Arts Department, said, “One of the primary purposes of art is to help us to see and how we see determines how we live. We want to welcome you to this exhibit to kick-off the year. We hope you will join us for other exciting exhibitions throughout the year at our beautiful Bitsy Irby Visual Arts Gallery.  Please come and avail yourself to stimulating and entertaining visual encounters.”
