Senior Dance Concerts 2013

After four years of study, students in the http://www.belhaven.edu/dance/undergraduate-dance.htm Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance program will present their final projects at the Senior Dance Concert on February 27, 28 and March 1, 2. Over the course of four nights these dance students will display original senior projects exhibiting the culmination of their dance studies at the Belhaven’s Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio. Wednesday, February 27, 7:30 p.m. - Concert A Thursday, February 28, 11 a.m. - Concert B Thursday, February 28, 7:30 p.m. - Concert C Friday, March 1, 7:30 p.m. – Concert A Saturday, March 2, 1 p.m. – Concert C Saturday, March 2, 7:30 p.m. - Concert B Each senior has a theme for their project that is creatively unique to the individual dancer, and will consist of classical ballet, modern and contemporary dance styles. Cynthia Newland who is Chair of the Dance Department said, “We hope you will come experience the passion and maturity that is evident in these inspiring young performers and choreographers. Projects specifically relate to each student's unique curricular focus, highlighting particular aspects of artistic developments and accomplishments.” The following seniors will be presenting and performing: Katherine Joy Acker Hope Victoria Joy Berghuis Mary Lillian Brace Sarah Elizabeth Osterhus Virginia Marie Roberts Donald Joseph Sayre Stefanie Ann Wright Evelyn Mae Bennett Rhiannon Elizabeth Crosier Anna Gayle Gilbert David Ryan Jacobs Elisabeth Joy Keiko Kurashige Miranda Maegan Pinones Emily Grace Roy Leslie Joy Van Winkle General Admission is $10 and $5 for seniors and students. There is complimentary admission for Belhaven faculty, staff, students and Children (12 and under). Doors open 30 minutes prior to concert
