Symphony Orchestra Inspires with Tchaikovsky’s Masterpiece

Symphony Orchestra 2016October 24, 2016 (Jackson, Miss) - The Belhaven Symphony Orchestra Concert will feature the talent of the University’s top music students on Friday, November 4.

This free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in Center for the Arts Concert Hall and will highlight the artistry of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s last masterwork, Symphony No. 6 “The Pathetique.”

This arrangement is a profound portrait of Tchaikovsky’s life with deep orchestration, colorful harmonies, saddened themes and masterful construction that combines to make this composition a world-wide favorite.
