Urban Dance Club Hosts Ravehaven

Describe Image HereMarch 26, 2015 (Jackson) - Belhaven’s Urban Dance Club (UDC) is hosting Ravehaven on March 28, 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. in Bitsy Irby. “The Ravehaven event last September was quite a success and we had a great turnout,” said Cassandra Sanders, President of the UDC. “This year we'd love to double the attendance.  Please come out for a great time to ‘cut a rug’ in a great environment.”

Jackson-native DJ Spree will provide an eclectic variety of deep house music and the UDC will showcase their talent during the event. Caleb Mitchell, Assistant Professor of Dance, is helping the UDC organize the event and said, “For this event, we are looking to Jackson local talent DJ Spree. I noticed his talent for a September event in Smith Park.  I'm sure he's going to not only bring the house down, but will be convincing others to update their iPods with more cutting edge beats and music!”

Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $5 for Belhaven students and $7 for non-students. All proceeds for this fundraising event support a local dance ministry team traveling to Korea for a mission trip this summer.
