Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Theatre Program
I chose to come to Belhaven University because … I fell in love with the staff and faculty who were so genuinely caring and loving. I knew I would get much more than just a degree—I received the opportunity to grow as a Christian and as an individual under great leadership and guidance. Although I was 13 hours away from Zapata, Texas, I felt right at home. One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University is… How can I choose one?! I greatly enjoyed working as a Resident Assistant for my Resident Director, Tiffany Belcher. She helped guide me and mold me to be a more effective leader, not only in my efforts to guide and help the young women on my hall, but also everyone I come in contact with everyday. Because of my degree from Belhaven University... I was offered a job in the box office at a local theatre after graduation. I moved back to Texas for a season, so I did not take it, but I am currently working in admission while my husband completes his masters degree. Then we plan to move back to Texas to complete my long-term goal, which is to do theatre and missions in my home church. An interesting fact about me that not everyone knows is… My parents are 2nd-generation missionaries to Mexico and India, and after graduation, I had the wonderful opportunity to go visit several churches and orphanages in India- such an enriching experience. I also dance flamenco! One word to describe your experience at Belhaven: Cultivating |
