Hobbies: Give me some yarn, knitting needles, and a good audiobook, and I’ll be a happy camper for hours on end! I also enjoy baking, ballet (whenever I can), board games, and spending time with my church’s youth group.
What do you do in the Office of Admission?
I help with the background paperwork for the Office of Admission. When you send in your transcripts and other documents, I make sure they are filed correctly with your application so you can sail smoothly through the admission process!
What is your perception of academic quality at Belhaven University?
As a former student at Belhaven, I have experienced the passion with which the professors teach their respective subjects. Belhaven is a safe place to cement what you believe and build a Christian foundation, and the professors and staff care deeply about each student they encounter. I grew leaps and bounds while here, academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
What do you like most about Belhaven?
My favorite thing about Belhaven is the emphasis they place on having a Christian worldview. Each subject we studied—regardless of whether it was art, math, science, or something else entirely—we examined through the eyes of faith. Belhaven showed me how to find Christ in every corner of my life.
What is your favorite place on campus and Why?
I love taking walks in the early evenings, when the sun is setting and the lamp-posts turn on. There’s just something about the atmosphere that feels magical and beautiful.
What advice would you give to your incoming students?
I would encourage new students to pour themselves into their studies and relationships! Be brave and explore. You can get SO much out of your time at Belhaven if you take advantage of all the opportunities available to you.
