Health Administration Opportunities

Belhaven Future Healthcare Leaders (BFHL), a participant in the
American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Higher Education Network

Belhaven has a student chapter, Belhaven Future Healthcare Leaders (BFHL) for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). The purpose of the chapter is to promote educational development of skills necessary for the effective leadership in healthcare organizations that students may serve once completing their studies at Belhaven University.

ACHE also provides information about career alternatives and job opportunities in the field of healthcare management and develops an association with local and regional healthcare executive groups to enhance academic and career opportunities. Students who participate in the program are provided a method of involvement, recognition, and representation in the profession of healthcare management as well as a forum for dialogue concerning the academic program and career planning.

Membership is open to all Belhaven University students and faculty who have an interest in healthcare management. The organization plans to meet at least once per semester on the Belhaven main campus. BFHL is open to all Belhaven students and Faculty who share and in interest in healthcare administration.

The Fall meeting of Belhaven Future Healthcare Leaders is Tuesday, November 2nd in Irby 222 from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. Embra Jackson, Health System Specialist for the South Central VA Healthcare Network of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be the guest speaker.
