Belhaven University Early Action Application

In addition to the University’s regular rolling admissions policy, Belhaven University offers an Early Action application option designed for students who would like to apply early and receive both an acceptance and financial aid award no later than January 15th

Early Action (EA) is a non-binding application where students, who apply by the stated deadline, will receive an earlier response from the Admissions committee.  If Belhaven University is one of the student’s top choices, they are encouraged to apply Early Action.

Early Action candidates will receive one of two responses: an offer of admission or a deferral to the regular application pool. Students who are deferred to the regular decision pool should request additional materials (updated grades, recommendations) be submitted to the Admissions Office.

The University offers two Early Action filing dates as indicated below.

Application Option Admissions Application &
Financial Aid Due Date
Decision Date Requested Deposit Date
Early Action I November 16 December 15 February 1
Early Action II January 15 February 15 April 1
Rolling June 1 Rolling Rolling

Students are encouraged to file a FAFSA with the University no later than the deadlines indicated above so that the University can complete a determination of financial aid eligibility at the time of acceptance.

Students who apply Early Action are asked to submit their enrollment deposit by the requested due date.  Students who deposit by these dates are given preference for course selection and housing.
