Belhaven Activities Team

Belhaven Activities Team

The Belhaven Activities Team exists to plan, promote and provide activities for Belhaven students that help foster community, increase student involvement and build an exciting atmosphere on campus!

BAT is a team of diverse, talented, active, involved and motivated students who work diligently to provide quality programming for the students, faculty and staff of Belhaven University. BAT events are brainstormed, planned, and implemented by the Base Team. The Squad makes the execution of events possible by stepping in and helping with the execution of BAT events.   If you want to find out more about being a part of BAT, contact the Activities Coordinator at activities@belhaven.edu or call 601-968-8904. What do you like most about Belhaven? I love the size of Belhaven. It's small which gives everyone the opportunity to know everyone and meet people from so many different walks of life. You also have the privilege of smaller class sizes which helps you form lasting relationships with the other students in your major/minor and with the professors who are there for your well-being and want to see you succeed. The support you get from everyone around you is incredible!
Why Activities? In this position, you get to know so much of the student body who attend the various events and have the opportunity to serve them wholeheartedly and brighten their day and possibly change their time at Belhaven for the better. It's a blessing to be able to share the light and love of Christ through the fun of campus-wide fellowship put together by the Activities Team!

What do you like most about Belhaven? I admire how the Belhaven community becomes, to the student, something much more than just a group of faculty, staff, and peers. The Belhaven community becomes quickly like a second family and the campus a home away from home. It is also such a blessing to be able to study and grow alongside fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and to learn from professors whose main desires are always for their students to seek first the face of God. Belhaven provides these opportunities.
Why Activities? Much of my sophomore year was spent going to Belhaven Activities Team meetings and helping prepare and put on BAT events; I enjoyed these moments, hours, and days immensely. Towards the end of that year, God placed in my heart a desire to commit more of my time and service to the BAT team. In pursuing this aim, I was offered a position as an Activities & Intramurals intern. Through this position, I am given the opportunity to not only serve the BAT team but also the awesome Intramurals crew. Now, I'm able to help host events for the students of Belhaven through BAT and get my game face on with my fellow peers through Intramurals. God is good!
