Belhaven College presents the 75th Singing Christmas Tree in the Belhaven Soccer Bowl at 7:30 p.m. on November 30 - December 1. The Belhaven College choir will sing many Christmas favorites in a dazzling display of lights. This free musical production is enjoyed by more than a thousand people a year. Everyone is welcome to bring their blankets and chairs and witness the America oldest, outdoor, annual, singing Christmas tree tradition.

In 1933, Belhaven first Singing Christmas Tree was performed for only students and faculty of the college. Realizing that it was a music performance that the community would enjoy being a part of as well, it was moved outside.

“The Music Department at Belhaven College is proud to continue the beautiful tradition of the Singing Christmas Tree. It is possible because students give of their time and talents during the last week of classes, one of the most demanding weeks in the academic calendar. Campus employees put in many hours of work, year after year, to bring this gift to the city of Jackson and the southeast region.”

A leader among Christian Colleges and Universities, Belhaven is the only school nationally accredited in all four Arts - dance, music, visual arts, theatre. Our 1,000 traditional age students study on a charming campus in the capital of the New South - another 1,600 Adult students attend adult education centers offering accelerated Christian education and graduate degrees in Orlando, Houston, Memphis, and Jackson, or from anywhere in the world in our online degree program.
