Belhaven students, faculty, staff, and friends recently celebrated being on Peachtree Street for a century. The 100 Years on Peachtree Chapel took a look back into the many events that have shaped Belhaven into what it is today.
This special time of reflection featured performances by the Belhaven Chamber Orchestra, Belhaven Chorale, and Theatre department.
Frank Dolansky put together a video that took a look at Belhaven through the last 100 years that coincided with other significant events in world history. The crowd was given a brief glimpse into what campus life at Belhaven was like by historian and professor Dr. Paul Waibel. Miss Bettye Quinn, Associate Professor of Education, also shared some memorable moments during her time as a student and professor.
Dr. Parrott closed the commemorative chapel by talking about the fire of 1927 and how the choice to continue and rebuild was the most significant three hours in the history of Belhaven.
