Jackson, MS - The continued success of Belhaven University’s ASPIRE program can no longer be contained at the Jackson campus. The ASPIRE degree program will relocate to the LeFleur Building, just north of the main campus, on I-55 Frontage Road in August.

Dr. Roger Parrott, President of Belhaven University, adds, “The growth of our ASPIRE program and graduate enrollment has brought us to a wonderful, but complex challenge; we are out of space for evening students on our campus. So, we are taking a bold step in August that will enhance adult students’ learning experience, make parking abundant, and allow students to learn in a first-class environment that reflects their career desires.”

The ASPIRE program will reside on the first two floors of the LeFleur building and will house staff, faculty, and students. A Belhaven University sign will be constructed on top of the five-story building, marking the new home of Belhaven’s ASPIRE program.

The administrative offices will be on the first floor, where students will have admission support in one centralized location. The second floor will contain 17 “smart” classrooms that utilize current technologies to increase students’ learning experience.

Students will no longer have to worry about the long hikes from car to class, because parking at the new location will be spacious and right next to the new building. Trusted Belhaven security officers and the well-lit parking lot help ensure the safety of each student.

ASPIRE students scheduled for classes beginning in August will be the first students to benefit from the new facility. Office space for staff will be complete and occupied a few weeks later in September.

Belhaven has been serving adult students for a quarter century and was the first university in the Metro Jackson Area with an accelerated degree program and graduate degrees for working adults.

Belhaven proudly stands among the select Christian colleges and universities that offer a unique general core curriculum encouraging the development of a personal worldview. The university believes a Christian worldview is a key to preparing men and women academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships, and in the world of ideas.

Founded in 1883, Belhaven University now serves over 3,000 students from campuses in Jackson, Memphis, Orlando, Houston, Chattanooga, Atlanta and online, offering traditional undergraduate degrees, graduate and adult degree programs, and online degree programs.
