October 27, 2011 (Jackson) -The Orchestras and Strings Concert will be an exciting performance from up-and-coming talent from Belhaven’s Music Department. This concert can be the perfect introduction for younger children to the beauty and joy of music, instruments and live performances.

The Belhaven Orchestra will take the stage and perform The Suite from Sleeping Beauty, Tubby the Tuba, and more. Music made to thrill both young and old!

Dr. Stephen Sachs, Professor and Chair of the Music Department said, “The music we chose for this performance is recognized and enjoyed by all. This exciting performance by our strings students is a family-friendly, multi-generational performance that will get your feet tapping."

The concert will take place Friday, November 11 at 7:30 pm in the Belhaven University Concert Hall. The performance is free and open to all, and the doors will open at 7:00 p.m.
