January 27, 2011: Belhaven's Career Services Department is taking big steps to help students prepare for the workforce. Several events have been planned to help prepare students for searching and finding a job including a resume workshop and on campus career fair.
The Resume Workshop will be Thursday, February 10 at 11:00 am in the Student Center Theatre.
Graduate School Workshop
The Graduate School Workshop will be Thursday, February 17 at 11:00 am in the Student Center Theatre. Learn about graduate school options, how to apply, and financial aid options.
The Career Bootcamp will be Thursday, February 24 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm in the Student Center Theatre. This event is ONLY for traditional students majoring in Business, Sports Administration or Accounting! Resumes must be submitted to the School of Business by Monday, February 14.
On Campus Career Fair
The On Campus Career Fair will be Thursday, March 10 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Student Center Theatre. Belhaven students can interview for permanent and internship positions. Submit your resume to Career Services in the Cube by March 5. Job interviews will be held between 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm following the career fair.
Governor's Job Fair
The Governor's Job Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Mississippi Trademart building (located on the Fairgrounds off High Street). Over one hundred employers are expected to attend and many will be making job offers the day of the fair.
