April 25, 2014 (Atlanta) - The Belhaven Atlanta Commencement will honor its graduating students on May 9, 2014. The graduation ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dunwoody Baptist Church.
Rev. Paul Diamond, Associate Pastor for Missions at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, will be the commencement speaker. Diamond graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Theatre. He has performed on stage at the Alliance Theatre and various local theatres.
Diamond then became interested in Christian counseling and graduated from the Internship Program at Grace Fellowship, located in Marietta, Ga. He was then hired as a staff counselor at First Baptist Atlanta. Diamond went from counseling to ministering in the Single Adult Department. He was ordained in 1998 and has worked 19 years as the assistant to Dr. Charles Stanley, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Atlanta. Diamond is also the Director of Chosen People, a local community outreach program at First Baptist Atlanta. Paul is blessed with his wife, Christi, and has two sons, Joseph (19) and David (15).
