August 4, 2017 (Jackson, MIss.) - Belhaven University students can participate in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) for both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.
ROTC programs are offered to Jackson-area college and university students with credit being earned at the student's home institution. Scholarship opportunities are also available to students who participate.
These programs are an excellent way to enjoy the college experience and prepare for serving the country at the same time. Students enrolled in Air Force ROTC attend Belhaven as regular students, and activities include attending class and one leadership lab per week at Jackson State University. Army ROTC counts as credit toward a degree and students can take entry level ROTC courses without making any commitment to the military.
