October 12, 2017 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven Creative Writing students will showcase their works of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and scripts for screen and stage during the Best of Belhaven's Writers on October 19, 2017.
Students will read selected works aloud at this event, happening in the Student Center Theater 6-7:30 p.m. These students, representing many states and several countries, have enrolled at Belhaven because of their passion and devotion for writing. When these writers graduate, they will join a group of alumni who have published novels, topped The New York Times bestseller list, won national poetry prizes and secured positions with prestigious presses and institutions of higher education. Admission is complimentary and a reception will follow the reading.
