Belhaven to Host In-Person Graduation for Class of 2020 and 2021March 17, 2021 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven University will host an in-person graduation ceremony at the Mississippi Coliseum to celebrate its Class of 2020 and 2021.

Belhaven University's 2021 Spring Commencement is on Saturday May 1, 2021. The day of convocation will include three different ceremonies for traditional, adult, online, and graduate students.

Students must RSVP and submit a regalia order for Belhaven's 2021 Spring Commencement by April 12 to guarantee tickets and be added to the walking list. If students have ordered and received regalia in 2020, they must still complete the RSVP portion of the form to be added to the walking list.

Once students RSVP, they will receive an email after April 5 with the information concerning their ceremony time and a link to reserve tickets for family and friends.

Belhaven University President Dr. Roger Parrott will be the commencement speaker this year. Dr. Parrott is one of America's most experienced presidents - serving over 33 years. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in Higher Education Administration. Dr. Parrott is a third-generation College president and was one of America's youngest college presidents first elected at age 34.

He has served on various boards and was Chair of the 2004 Forum for World Evangelization hosted by the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. Dr. Parrott is the author of The Longview: Lasting Strategies for Rising Leaders. His newest book will be released in January 2022, “Opportunity Leadership: How To Stop Planning And Start Getting Results.” His wife, MaryLou, earned her Ph.D. in English and teaches at Belhaven, specializing in Shakespeare and classical literature. They have two adult children who graduated from Belhaven.
