Composers Concert to Feature New Music from Students and Alumni

March 23, 2023 (Jackson, MIss.) - The interactive Student Composers Concert XXVIII is Tuesday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Arts Instrumental Rehearsal Hall.

This free concert will feature compositions by Ian Edwards and Zach Mayberry as well as a series of interactive improvisations, featuring alumni Josiah Pervis '21, Cristan Stewart '22, and Tripp Stewart '18.

One improvisation involves musical responses to three sculptures by two art and design majors Caleb Moak and Kaleb Hall.

Professor of Music Dr. Andrew Sauerwein said, “The Belhaven Composers Forum invites you to participate in a new approach to making music. Come early, enjoy some refreshing community, and participate in an adventurous and engaging performance by Belhaven's talented student composers.”
This is event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m.
