Belhaven Awarded for 22 Years of Top Christian Education
January 23, 2019 (Jackson, MIss.) - Belhaven was awarded a national honor for its commitment to Christian higher education. For the 22nd year, the University was named one of America’s Best Christian Colleges. Only 100 colleges and universities earned a top spot, and they were selected from a pool of 376 Christian institutions of higher education.
To be recognized as one of America's Best Christian Colleges 2019 is an honor, said Belhaven President Dr. Roger Parrott. As Christians, we are here to serve others, and I constantly see how our faculty, staff, and students not only help one another, but do it as unto the Lord. We strive for excellence in all that we do, and it’s our mission to prepare men and women to serve Christ Jesus academically and spiritually in their careers, relationships, and the world of ideas.
The recognition is determined from results of the 27th Annual National College Survey conducted by Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc.
