Belhaven Grad Student helps win over $1 Million Grant for Grace House

Mike Knezevich, who is pursuing his Master of Science in Management at Belhaven College, has put his knowledge into practice, with an outcome worth over $1 million. The Belhaven alum and current graduate student used part of his Master’s project to help Grace House, a local non-profit, win a $1,267,393 grant. Knezevich says that he is happy for this accomplishment for Grace House, especially as, “This amount is ten times the current normal yearly operating budget!”

Grace House is “a place where people with HIV/AIDS may live with dignity, in safety, and with compassion and caring,” and Knezevich serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors. The grant is a new HOPWA Special Project of National Significance grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
