“Handel’s Messiah: After the Hallelujah” to Premiere at Belhaven

Choral Arts concert 2019April 11, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - The Belhaven Concert Choir and Chamber Orchestra will present “Handel’s Messiah: After the Hallelujah” on Monday, April 15. This free concert from the Belhaven Music Department will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

Handel’s Messiah stands as one of the most performed and most beloved works in the world of choral music. Mr. Christopher Phillips, specialty instructor of vocal, choral, and worship arts, emphasizes, “Every year, in many places near and far, you will find numerous performances of the Christmas portion of Messiah. But what about the parts of Messiah after the Christmas portion? Our talented concert choir and chamber orchestra will highlight the hidden gems from Handel’s inspired work.”
