University Marked Academic Year with 2021 Service of Dedication

Service of DedicationSeptember 23, 2021 (Jackson, Miss.) - University faculty and staff celebrated the beginning of a new academic year during the Belhaven University 2021 Service of Dedication on Wednesday, August 18.

Serving others is at the heart of what makes Belhaven unique, and one of the highlights was the Celebration of Faithful Service. Honorees were presented with clocks as a reminder of the time they spent faithfully serving the University and its students. The awards recognized staff and faculty for every five-year increment at Belhaven.

During the program, Belhaven University President Dr. Roger Parrott gave a state-of-the-university address and gave an inspiring speech about the significance of the University’s 2021-2022 Verse of the Year. The verse is from Revelation 19:6. “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.”
