What do you do at Belhaven? I lead and challenge students to get involved and serve through student organizations, activities, intramurals, recreation, student government and various other leadership opportunities.
How does what you do help students grow and develop? Through the area of Student Leadership, students have the opportunity to serve and lead in a variety of roles. Serving others is Christ's model for us and by emulating His leadership students will grow and develop outside the classroom!

Title: Administrative Assistant to the Director of Student Leadership

What do you do at Belhaven? The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Student Leadership is responsible for all daily aspects of the office administration, support and planning. This position provided leadership in several areas such as BLC coordination, Chapel program, orientation programming and other student programming.
How does what you do help students grow and develop? As a team-member of Belhaven University, I help students to (1) Understand the school's purpose and program (2) To encourage regular attendance and involvement in a local, Bible-believing church (3) Develop both good and proper attitudes toward peers and the family (4) Grow spiritually and help them develop Christ-centered homes.
Name: Moriah Carver
Title: Coordinator of Student Leadership and Activities

Hobbies/Interests: Anything involving events, home improvement projects, crafting, “thrifting,” reading, and taking time to truly connect with those around me.
What do you do at Belhaven? I help in planning and executing campus wide events but more than that I get the opportunity to teach students that events are about more than the details. Events are a chance to serve and bless those on campus. As Coordinator of Student Leadership and Activities I push student leaders to create an environment that betters Belhaven University and possibly changes a student’s experience.
How does what you do help students grow and develop? Student Leadership, through student activities, encourages a student to serve selfless and lead mercifully. I ask my students to care more about the purpose than his or her name being associated with an event. I desire for students to gain a heart for service and an understanding of the impact of selfless work.

Hobbies/Interests: Surfing, the beach, reading, writing, watching sports, Ultimate Frisbee, and spending time with my wife and dog.
What do you do at Belhaven? I lead the Campus Recreation Team (CRT) in coordinating all recreational and intramural events available to students as well encouraging their involvement in various student organizations and activities.
How does what you do help students grow and develop? Campus Recreation provides students with the opportunity to be physically active through participation in healthy competition. Students grow by leading and serving their peers in a Christ-like manner.
