What is Transfer Orientation?
Transfer Orientation is a time for students to meet with a faculty academic advisor to schedule classes for the fall semester and to hear from key leaders on campus to ensure your success as at transfer student.

When will it be?
The date is set for Monday, June 4. Check-in will be from 8:30-9:30am in the Billy Kim International Center (see campus map) with the Welcome Session beginning at 9:30am.

Who should attend?
All transfers, who have been accepted for admission to the university, are strongly encouraged to attend. Parents and siblings are welcomed! You and your parent will have the opportunity to hear from key campus leaders during the informative Welcome Session before registering for class.

Will lunch be provided?
Yes, lunch will be available in the dining commons.

How do I register?
Online registration today (registration is now closed) or you may call the Office of Admission at 800-960-5940 for more information.

Do I need to pay anything before I come?
If you have not paid your enrollment deposit of $100, you must pay that amount before June 4. You can pay online with credit card (link available after you submit registration form), call to pay by credit card, or mail check or money order. If you plan to reside on campus, you must submit your $100 housing deposit to reserve your room.

Can I spend the night on campus?
Belhaven will not be providing rooms on campus to parents and students. However, there are several hotels in the area. Here are some suggestions that are near campus:

8:00 – 9:30 a.m. Orientation Check-in – Billy Kim International Center
During this time, students have the opportunity to get official student ID, register your vehicle, and check-in the residence hall. The Bookstore, Shoe Bird (coffee shop), and Dining Commons will be open during this time.
9:30 a.m. Welcome to BU Session – Billy Kim International Center
This “can’t miss” session is designed specifically for students and parents to get important information from key leaders and administrators from a variety of Belhaven divisions
11:00 a.m. Students: Advising and Registration
At check-in on Thursday, students will be given an assigned time and location to meet one-on-one with your faculty advisor to register for fall classes.
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Lunch 
Dining Commons – Student Center
The Dining Commons will be open for lunch, so feel free to eat when you’re able! You won’t meet a stranger! 
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. These campus departments will be open:
Bookstore
Financial Aid and Student Accounts
Admission Advocates by Appointment (beginning at 11am)
Shoe Bird
Office of Admission

The Security Office (located in Joy Lackey on the second floor of Student Center) will be open from 10:30-3:00 p.m. for you to make your photo for your student i.d. and get your parking decal.

The Student Financial Services Office will be open until 5 pm.

The Bookstore will be open from 9am - 3 pm.
