STUDENT ACTIVITIES SPRING: 2012

Late Night Bowling: Friday January 20th
Time to bring out the bowling shoes and come to Late Night Bowling on Friday, January 20th at 9:00pm! Bowling is $5 with a Belhaven ID. Meet BAT in the Student Center at 8:30pm for directions and rides.

Movie Night: Friday January 27th
Come join the Belhaven Activities Team for a movie night on Friday January 27th in the Student Center Theater! The movie is TBD, but it is sure to be a thriller! We will have popcorn and sodas to enjoy along with the movie!

Superbowl Party: Sunday February 5th
Football Fan? Come support your team and watch the biggest football game of the year! Belhaven Activities Team and Intramurals will be hosting a Superbowl Party on Sunday, February 5th from 5pm until 10pm in the Student Center.  There will be several big screens, food, and drinks!

Candy Grams! Thursday February 9th- Friday February 10th
Want to send that special someone a treat? Come by the Candy Grams table in the Student Center and send a special note and candy for $1 a piece of 4 for $2!  Candy Grams will be delivered through the campus mail on Tuesday February 14th and commuters can pick up their Candy Gram in the Cube!

Gotcha Sign Up:  February 20th-24th
Do you ever have that feeling that someone is out to get you?  Get used to it, because Gotcha is back! The highly intense game of water and strategy is back on campus! Gotcha is open to all (full-time) students, staff, and faculty! Be sure to check out the rules during sign up. Sign up begins on February 20th -24th during lunch in the Dining Commons. The game is free with a Belhaven ID! Gotcha action begins on March 6th at 1:00pm and ends on April 13th at 5:00pm! Remember: Know the rules, trust no one and stay dry!

Pavilion Fest Signups: February 27th- March 2nd
Wanna show off your talent to your peers? Come sign up for the second annual Pavilion Fest! Belhaven Activities Team (BAT) welcomes all talent from dancing to singing to comedy, we want it all! Signups begin at 11am on February 27th and Pavilion Fest will be on Friday March 23rd at 8pm!

Gotcha: February March 6th-April 13th  
GOTCHA starts today at 1:00pm! All disputes, appeals, questions and inquiries should be sent to the Jury at jury@belhaven.edu. Gotcha will end on Friday, April 13th at 5:00pm. Remember: Know the rules, trust no one and stay dry!

Pavilion Fest: Friday March 23rd
Come out and watch the talents of Belhaven students! Students will be performing preapproved talents for the whole campus! The show begins at 8pm at the Pavilion and refreshments will be provided!

Spring Formal: April 13th
Join us for a night full of dancing and great food in the gorgeous setting of spring at this year’s Spring Formal Dance! This year’s Spring Formal will be held at the Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon from 9:00pm-12:00am. Formal attire. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets will be sold, April 9th - Friday, April 13th in the Dining Commons during lunch and dinner. Tickets on Friday will be sold at lunch ONLY.  You must show a Belhaven ID to purchase your ticket. All guests must be signed in with a Belhaven student. Directions will be available in all Residence Halls and the first floor of The Cube.

Escape to the Lake: April 16th
Do you need a sweet escape before finals? Come to Escape to the Lake for an outdoor dinner, some great relaxation, and quality recreation! Escape to the Lake will be held at the Football Practice Field near the Gillespie Lake from 4:30pm-7:00pm. Sponsored by the Office of Intramurals and Activities.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES FALL: 2011

Movie night (Labor Day Weekend)
Enjoy a great movie over the break! Come to the Movie showing on Friday September2 at 7:00 pm in the Student Center Theatre and a matinee showing on Monday September 5 at 2:30pm . Enjoy free nachos and soft drinks!

Luau September 16
Limbo, potato sack races, live DJ, and Hula Hoop contests are just some of the fun things going on at the Luau! Enjoy the pig roast, smoothies and many other hors d' oeuvres' from 8:00pm-10:00pm outdoors in Gillespie Commons (if inclement weather, event will be hosted in the first floor of the Student Center).

Chick-fil-a Tuesday – (first and third Tuesday of the month)
BAT will begin selling Chick-fil-a chicken biscuits on the first Tuesday and third Tuesday of every month in the mornings from 7:30am-10:30am.  They will be $3.00!

Belhaven Late Night – October 14
Come out for the Belhaven Late Night and enjoy Capture the Flag at 8:00pm, an outdoor movie night (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2), a bonfire complete with smores, mechanical bull and other exciting games from www.bouncearoojumps.com!  Activities will be open until 1:00am.  Popcorn, candy, and drinks provided!  This event is co-sponsored by BAT and other campus organizations!

Homecoming Party – October 22
Celebrate this year’s Homecoming Court and annual festivities!  The Homecoming Party will be held at The Auditorium in Fondren from 9:00pm-midnight.  Casual dress.  Directions will be available in all Residence Halls as well as the first floor of The Cube.  Admission is free with a Belhaven ID.  All guests must be signed in with a Belhaven student.

Outdoor Concert – November 11
Come out to the Pavilion and hear Mobile, AL’s own “Underhill Family Orchestra”!  This band has a folk twang and will start playing at 9:00pm.  Bring blankets and lawn chairs, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided!

Operation Christmas Child Wednesday November 16
Join BLC and BAT in the Student center on Wednesday November 16 from 7-9:30pm for a packing party! Bring supplies like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, toys, and hard candies to send in a shoebox to underprivileged children!

Time Out! December 5th
BAT hosts the annual Time Out event on December 5! Come take a break from studying and join us in the student center from 7:30-9:30 pm and enjoy the movie Contagion, a video game tournament sponsored by Intramurals, BINGO sponsored by BAT, and lots of food!
