Alex Ainsworth, Coordinator of Student Leadership & Intramurals
A Belhaven University graduate, Alex earned a degree in Sports Administration with a minor in History.  While at Belhaven, Alex was a member of the Blazers' basketball team.  A native of Florence, MS, Alex serves as the Coordinator of Student Leadership & Intramurals.  He provides direct oversight to the Intramural program as well as assists with various aspects in the Office of Student Leadership, including New Student's Orientation, Chapel Administration, and leadership development.

Simon Barinas, Student Coordinator of Intramurals

A native of El Cafetal, Miranda, Venezuela, Simon is a captain of the Belhaven Men’s Soccer Team. Majoring in Business Administration and Management, Simon is in his first year of service in the position of Student Coordinator of Intramurals on the Belhaven Leadership Council.  Although this is Simon’s first year in this position, he has served the past 2 years as an Intramural Official as well as a Recreation Supervisor.  Simon adds an energetic and diverse leadership style to the intramural program that will aid in its growth and development.  Simon says, “Being the Student Coordinator of Intramurals puts me in a great position to give back to Belhaven some of the gifts that have been given to me.”

Grace Owens, Intramurals Intern

A senior Psychology Major from Zachary, Louisiana. Grace has been an active student at Belhaven, previously serving as a Diamond Darlin’, BAT member, and a 2009-1010 BU Cheerleader. She is involved in her major as a member of the 2011-2012 Honors Psychology Team and is doing a practicum at UMC Children’s Cancer Unit with the psychology unit. This is Grace’s first year as Intramurals Intern and thoroughly enjoys serving her university.
