Intramurals exist to provide a direct way for full time students, faculty, and staff to get involved in student life by participating and competing in many events and activities across campus. Intramurals is bigger than it has ever been at Belhaven, and knowing that competition is an intricate part of life, the intramural emphasis is on competition with character and provides a great opportunity to build relationships and find a sense of community on campus. The Intramural's Sports Program consists of Men's, Women's, and Co-ed leagues in all Intramural sports. Intramural’s four main Traditional sports are; Volleyball, Dodgeball, Basketball, and Soccer, with many non-traditional sports offered throughout the school year. Volleyball and dodgeball are offered in the fall, while basketball and soccer take place in the spring. Intramurals is very competitive here at Belhaven, and it provides an avenue for life lessons to be taught through athletics and competition. For anyone considering intramurals make sure and check out bulletin boards around campus. Also we will have promotion/sign-up tables throughout the year for each intramural sport.
