Student Leadership Opportunities

Belhaven seeks to provide many opportunities to help students development leadership skills that will help them be successful professionals and trailblazers in their communities.

Belhaven Activities Team (BAT) The Belhaven Activities Team exists to plan, promote and provide activities for Belhaven students that help foster community, increase student involvement, and build an exciting atmosphere on campus!

BAT is a team of diverse, talented, active, involved and motivated students who work diligently to provide quality programming for the students, faculty and staff of Belhaven University. BAT events are brainstormed, planned, and implemented by the Base Team. The Squad makes the execution of events possible by stepping in and helping with the execution of BAT events.   If you want to find out more about being a part of BAT, contact the Activities Coordinator at activities@belhaven.edu.

International Peer Partners- The International Peer Partners are students who serve as a “point-person” for incoming international students. These student volunteers commit for one year to build relationships with new international students, help students get connected on campus, and assist with events as needed. The International Peer Partners are excited about ministering with and to our international student body. Resident Assistants- Each residence hall is staffed by a team of student leaders who serve as Resident Assistants (RAs). They are committed to helping residents adjust to life at Belhaven University and encouraging them to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. If you are interested in becoming a RA, talk to your current RA and look for information regarding the application process at the beginning of the spring semester.

Peer Leaders- Peer leaders are student leaders that are valuable resources for incoming students during their transition to Belhaven. They specifically serve during Welcome Week, a time of orientation, guidance, and community building for all new freshmen and transfer students. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Leader look for information regarding the application process at the beginning of the spring semester.

Belhaven Leadership Council- The Belhaven Leadership Council is a group of student leaders that serve the student body through programming. Positions on BLC include: BLC President, BLC Vice President, Activities Intern, BLC Intern, Marketing Intern, Ministry Intern, Recreation Coordinator, Ministry Coordinator, Intramurals Coordinator, Activities Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, look for information regarding the application process at the beginning of the spring semester.
