Student and Alumni Spotlights for the English Program

I chose to come to Belhaven University because…I was privileged to study English with Mr. Phil Bassett, an alumnus of Belhaven, in my early high school years. He greatly affected my decision to major in English Literature and to attend Belhaven. My mother is also a recent graduate of our University.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…My youngest brother will always be one of my most important relationships. His name is Daniel, he is six years old, and he teaches me more about the relationship between individuals than any class ever could.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University…I hope to attend graduate school immediately after I finish my undergraduate degree, and go on to teach high school and eventually college students.

One Word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Elucidating.
