Dr. Matthew Guinn holds a Ph.D. in American Literature with a minor specialization in Southern Literature. He is the author of novels The Resurrectionist and The Scribe, both published by W.W. Norton, and an academic book published by the University Press of Mississippi, After Southern Modernism.
Dr. Guinn is an avid outdoorsman and musician. He has taught at Belhaven seven years and is a regular panel moderator at the Mississippi Book Festival. He and his wife Kristen are active parishioners at St. Columb’s Church and the parents of two grown children. They live with their three dogs in Ridgeland.
