Our Campus
Located in a dynamic historic district of Jackson, MS, the "Capital of the New South." With a population of nearly one-half million, Jackson is the political, economic, educational, and cultural capital of the state. Belhaven also has additional campuses located throughout the Southeast, as well as online.
Belhaven’s main campus gracefully nestled among majestic oaks and flowering azaleas. Located at the heart of campus, the student center includes the campus bookstore, cafe, multi-media theatre, student dining commons, private dining rooms. Belhaven features six residence halls with high-speed computer accessibility for resident students. Both intercollegiate and intramural athletes enjoy our gymnasium, fitness center, track, stadium and other facilities on campus.
It is vital that Belhaven University’s campus be a safe place for students to study and live, and we go to great lengths to assure multiple layers of safety measures are in place.
What Makes Belhaven Unique?
Belhaven is the first and only university in the country to offer an unique program called the Belhaven Promise. For first-time, full-time, Belhaven freshmen that remain continuously enrolled for 4 years and declare a double major, the 5th year of tuition is free. Belhaven wants to fuel our students' academic passion and help maximize their success. Combinations of majors are limited only by the imagination.
Belhaven is one of just 36 colleges in the country to hold national accreditation in each of the four major arts – Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Art. Students in these programs have access to renowned faculty and perform in world class facilities.
All Belhaven freshmen are enrolled in a course to help introduce them to college life and enhance study skills while discovering strengths and passions. Seniors take a capstone class entitled "Kingdom Life: Family and Workplace," part of Belhaven's worldview curriculum emphasize Christian principles in the workplace. Mentoring programs, internships, and volunteer service opportunities. A vital, required chapel series featuring some of the best Christian preachers and thinkers in a shared campus worship experience. Opportunities for missions, both overseas and in the United States. Religious clubs to encourage spiritual growth and service.

Blazer Athletics
Belhaven is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Southwest Conference (ASC). Belhaven offers 17 intercollegiate sports competing at the NCAA Division III level, as well as cheerleading and marching band.
