The definition of the word commence is "to have or make a beginning," hence the term commencement ceremony where diplomas are given to show all of the hard work and time that has gone into the degree as well as to represent the beginning of a new chapter in life.

Commencement Information for Jackson Campus

Congratulations on your anticipated graduation from Belhaven University. We are providing information for students and families as you prepare for commencement services.

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting TWO (2) commencement ceremonies for our 2023 Fall graduates on Saturday, December 9th, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi. We anticipate a wonderful day celebrating your accomplishments at Belhaven University.

9:30 a.m.

  • Degrees: undergraduate, graduate education, and graduate biblical and theological degrees

2:30 p.m.

  • Degrees: online undergraduates, graduate business students, and Jackson campus students

Regalia - Orders and RSVP

The deadline to order regalia/submit RSVP is November 1st, 2023. The website will be closed for orders after that time, and you will not be eligible to participate in the December ceremonies if you do not order by this date.

Ceremony Tickets

Each participant can claim up to eight (8) tickets using the link below beginning at 9:00 am (CST) on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

Diplomas

Diplomas will not be available for pickup at commencement. Diplomas are mailed approximately 6-8 weeks after all course requirements are completed. Make sure we have your correct mailing address BEFORE you finish your degree requirements. Address changes can be made by completing the Address Change Form in Blazenet.
