Belhaven Faculty Honored With Tenure

June 7, 2011 - Belhaven University professors are some of the hardest workers in higher learning who passionately teach the many students who pass through Belhaven's doors. Six of Belhaven’s faculty members were recently honored with tenure.

Glenn Sumrall, Vice Provost and Dean of Arts and Sciences, said, “These faculty members are representative of the Belhaven commitment to excellence in academics along with a deep commitment to integration of faith and learning. Each has demonstrated outstanding classroom teaching, a love for students and a commitment to the Christian mission of Belhaven University.”

As a part of the tenure process, each faculty member was required to write a 15 page paper explaining their plans to integrate Christian principles into their academic disciplines. Congratulations to each faculty member that received tenure this year.
