Orchestras and Strings Concert

March 25, 2011: On April 8th, 2011, Belhaven University will present the Orchestras and Strings Concert. It will be held in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on Friday at 7:30 pm. Idyll for String Orchestra by Leoš Janáček anchors this exciting evening featuring award-winning Belhaven strings students as concerto soloists. Student soloists include violinist Jackie Bateman playing Samuel Barber, violinist Shellie Brown playing Prokofiev, violinist Anna Cullnane playing Kabalevsky, violist Rachel Eason playing Karl Stamitz, and violinist Jocelyn Zhu playing Glazunov. There will be complimentary admission and doors will open at 7:00 pm.
