Voice and Piano Concert Features Renowned Composers

Voice and Piano RecitalFebruary 2, 2017 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven’s Alumna Voice and Faculty Piano Recital on February 11, 7:30 p.m. will feature the talent of Grace Anna Lane ‘15, soprano and Dr. Stephen Sachs and Mrs. Carolyn Sachs, piano.

This free concert at the Belhaven Center for the Arts Concert Hall is open to the public will feature music from renowned composers Beethoven, Gershwin, Brahms, Bizet and Rachmaninoff.

Lane is the current administrative assistant for the Belhaven Music Department and is continuing her vocal study at Belhaven. She has performed with the Mississippi Opera, and is the vocal instructor at DC Guitar Studio in Gluckstadt, Miss.

Mrs. Sachs is an adjunct music professor who has been with the University since 2004. She teaches piano, piano fundamentals and piano pedagogy. Dr. Sachs has been active as a piano soloist, duo-pianist, chamber musician and accompanist in the U.S., Costa Rica and France. He is Voice and Piano Recitalcurrently the dean of fine arts at Belhaven frequently performs with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra at Thalia Mara Hall.
