Dr. Jeff Brannon came to Belhaven University in 2012 after completing his PhD in New Testament at the University of Edinburgh. He is excited to be at Belhaven because he gets to teach the word of God at a Christ-centered university.
Dr. Brannon enjoys spending time with students inside and outside of the classroom. One of his favorite times with students is a weekly afternoon time of conversation and fellowship at the Shoe Bird Cafe on Belhaven's campus. This weekly gathering, affectionately termed BABEL (Belhaven Association for Biblical Exploration and Learning), is not a club, but is rather an event that welcomes any students who would like to enjoy a tasty latte and experience warm fellowship and community.
Dr. Brannon is married to Jennifer and they have 4 children. They are active members of Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland, MS. In his spare time, Dr. Brannon enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, exercising, reading, and traveling during summer breaks.
